For over a decade, Masamichi Souzou has been working on a single question: what would it look like to take happiness seriously as a design problem?

Not happiness as a mood. Happiness as something you can study, measure, map, and (with the right tools and the right thinking) actually improve.

We've built frameworks. We've run courses. We've worked with individuals and organisations. And through all of that work, one thing kept coming up: people understood the ideas, but they didn't have a place to practice them. A daily environment where the principles of happiness design could meet the real, messy complexity of an actual life.

So we built one.

Introducing Omniana

Omniana is a personal operating system. A single place to understand and manage the people, systems, and things that make up your life, oriented around what actually matters: your happiness.

It's grounded in happiness research and systems thinking. It helps you see your life clearly and make better decisions about how you spend your time, energy, and attention.

What it actually does

At its core, Omniana has 4 capabilities:

A happiness journal that learns. Record your happiness daily, tag the activities and contexts that shaped it, and over time Omniana surfaces the patterns. What actually makes you happy, not what you assume does.

A relationship builder. The research here is unambiguous: relationships are the single strongest predictor of happiness. Omniana helps you stay connected to the people who matter.

A system manager. Your life runs on systems: subscriptions, services, accounts, commitments. Most people have no clear picture of this infrastructure. Omniana maps it.

An inventory with intent. Track the things you own, how often you use them, and what they contribute to your happiness.

Why this, why now

We've spent years developing the Happiness Design Framework. Omniana is that framework stripped back to a daily practice. The companion to the bigger ideas: Consider Everything, Universal Responsibility, and the belief that the ultimate design intent is happiness.
